The Expressive Body - Healing with Movement
4-week class series from Feb. 9th - Mar. 2nd, 2019 10:00am-11:30am
Living in each one of us is a story, a colourful palette of images and experiences located in our muscles and bones, organs and body parts.
It is these experiences, which define and guide us. Are we aware of their power? Together, we will utilize these “stories” as a resource for exploration into our individual mythology.
During this short series, we will take a playful look at the different parts of our bodies along with the metaphors and myths associated with them. Through your own unique free form movement, you will get a chance each week to “check-in” to what’s truly happening within yourself and invite a dialogue process to begin to find the answers you seek.
No previous experience in movement or art is needed. Please bring a journal if you have one.
What you can expect during this workshop:
Increase your internal awareness through play, creativity and introspection.
Find out how movement can help promote and increase your physical, mental and emotional well-being.
